A little more about the interests behind my projects.
Hi, I'm Logan Peterson. I have recently graduated from North Gwinnett High School and served as the Electrical Lead in FRC team 1771. I was also a part of CHARGEnorth, my high school's STEM program. I love to build robots, program, read, and create video games. I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving to every project I undertake. My journey in the tech world has been driven by a relentless curiosity and a desire to make a positive impact through innovation.
My interest in engineering grew by turning ideas into projects I could actually build and use. From my early Mini FRC Robot and retro Bluetooth controller to Terralift, a warehouse automation robot, I have enjoyed working through the each process including CAD, electronics, programming, and testing. The problems that keep me curious are the ones where all of those pieces have to work together. I find that figuring out why something is not working is often as interesting as building it in the first place.
Outside of robotics, I enjoy creating video games and being part of creative technical communities. I have built games such as Horizon Driving and Soupocalypse, and I was the lead organizer for Daydream Atlanta, a Hack Club game jam at Georgia Tech. I also enjoy reading, and I like finding new projects that let me combine technical problem-solving with something creative.

At North Gwinnett High School, I was part of CHARGEnorth, a rigorous STEM-based program that provides a comprehensive learning experience by integrating humanities and engineering. Designed around project-based research and investigation, the program challenged us to delve deeply into the course material. It fostered a profound understanding of STEM fields while cultivating essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. This innovative pathway enriched my academic journey and prepared me for future endeavors in STEM.
Beyond the core curriculum, CHARGEnorth at North Gwinnett provides opportunities that enrich the learning experience. The program gives students access to advanced technology and resources for hands-on projects and real-world applications. It also brings in industry professionals for guest lectures and workshops, offering valuable insight into the practical side of STEM fields. Through STEM-related competitions and events, CHARGEnorth fosters innovation and a spirit of healthy competition. Being part of the program was a transformative experience that helped shape me into a well-rounded student ready for future challenges.
